Thomas Tang Moot Court Needs Volunteers

September 01, 2005

We need your help to volunteer for the regional Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition, beginning on Oct. 1, 2005 at USC.  We are looking for attorneys to volunteer as judges or brief graders. The event begins Saturday morning on Oct. 1 and it might carry over until Oct. 2. You do not need to stay for the entire event.  We’re looking for a morning and afternoon shift.  The competition involves Fourth and Fifth Amendment criminal law issues.  Knowledge of appellate court is recommended but not required.  Lunch will be provided.

We currently have 9 teams from California signed up to compete.  USC’s APALSA is an official sponsor and will be helping with the event.  We are also looking for more law school teams to sign up.

Finals for this competition will be held in conjunction with the NAPABA national convention in Chicago (Oct. 20-23).  You can get more information on the competition at http://www.napaba.org/napaba/showpage.asp?code=moot

Please contact Johnny Tran at (213) 892-5028 to sign up or for more information.  Thank you for your support.
