Judge Tammy Chung Ryu Chosen NAPABA Trailblazer

October 17, 2005

Congratulations to APABA Founding Member, the Hon. Tammy Chung Ryu, on being recognized with the NAPABA Trailblazer Award for 2005!  The Trailblazer Award recognizes the outstanding achievements, commitment and leadership of NAPABA lawyers who have paved the way for the advancement of other Asian Pacific American attorneys.  Judge Chung Ryu, in 2002, became the first Korean American woman to be appointed a judge in the State of California.  Prior to that she distinguished herself in the Civil Division of the Attorney General’s Office.  She continues to be an inspiration to API attorneys and law students, and is truly deserving of being called a “trailblazer”.
