John Ing Appointed to Superior Court
June 06, 2007On May 23, 2007, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment of John Ing to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. APABA congratulates Judge Ing on his appointment. Below is an excerpt from a press release from the Governor’s office.
"Ing, 53, of Rancho Palos Verdes, has served as a commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court since 1997. Previously, he served as a referee for the Los Angeles County Superior Court from 1989 to 1997 and was a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office from 1979 to 1983. He was in private practice from 1983 to 1997. Ing earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California. He fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Otis Wright. Ing is registered decline-to-state.”
