Elaine Lu Appointed to Superior Court

On August 20, 2007, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment of Elaine Lu to the Los Angeles County Superior Court.  APABA congratulates Judge Lu on her much-deserved appointment.  Below is an excerpt from a press release from the Governor’s office.

"Lu, 39, of Los Angeles, has served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office since 1997 and currently serves as deputy chief in the general crimes section. Lu earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Stanford University. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Allen Bascue. Lu is a Democrat. “
