Gregory Dohi Appointed to Superior Court
August 29, 2007On August 20, 2007, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment of Gregory Dohi to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. “APABA congratulates Judge Dohi on his recent appointment. APABA is pleased to see that qualified API attorneys are being appointed to judicial office, in furtherance of reflecting the diversity of California’s population,” said Sandeep Baweja, APABA President.
Below is an excerpt from a press release from the Governor’s office.
“Dohi, 42, of Los Angeles, has served as a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office since 1991. During his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, he has served in the high tech crimes division, hardcore gang division and the major crimes division. Dohi earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. He fills one of the new positions created by Senate Bill 56. Dohi is a Republican.”
