Speakers are Sharon J. Arkin, Esq., partner at Robinson, Calcagnie & Robinson, and Bruce L. Ishimatsu, Esq., partner at Bryan Cave LLP. Hon. Eric Younger, Ret., will serve as moderator.

Ms. Arkin will be addressing considerations in litigating UCL actions from the plaintiff’s perspective, and Mr. Ishimatsu will be addressing considerations in the defense of UCL claims as well as recent abuses of the UCL.

The topics which will be discussed will include the elements of a UCL claim, pleading requirements, representative actions, class actions, restitution, potential defenses, demurrers and the use of summary judgment, settlement, court approval, and recent judicial and prospective legislative developments.
