NEWS FLASH: Bush Signs Law Providing Benefits to Filipino WWII Vets

On the morning of December 6, 2003, President Bush signed the “Veterans Health Care, Capital Asset, and Business Improvement Act of 2003,” (S. 1156) into law. After more than half-a-century, Section 103 of S. 1156 will restore VA recognition of the Filipino soldiers’ honorable US military service in WWII for the purpose of medical care at VA hospitals and nursing homes if they reside in the US.
