Pro Bono Attys Needed for O.C. Organization

The Public Law Center in Santa Ana seeks pro bono attorneys interested in taking individual cases in varied legal areas, including family law, adoption, employment or bankruptcy.

APABA Receives Grant from State Bar Foundation

For the second year in a row, APABA has received a sizable grant from the Foundation of the State Bar.  This year’s grant in the amount of $2,750.00 will fund APABA’s upcoming program entitled “Preventing Hate Crimes in the Aftermath of 9/11” in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.  The May event, which is open to the public, will examine the rise of post 911 attacks particularly against South and Southeast Asians, and discuss prosecution and prevention of hate crime.

APABA's Tolerance Education Project Reaches Local Schools

Hate crimes, particularly against members of the South Asian, Arab and other middle eastern communities, have increased dramatically in the aftermath of 9/11. APABA has formed a sub-committee to address this problem.
